Sorry, but that is not quite correct. The left wouldn't even recognize Bush as president in 2000 and the "Not MY president" stuff was started by the left. BTW, I voted for Gore in that one, and it was the childish behaviour of those on the left in response to a legally won victory for "the other side" that helped turn me mostly against the political left.

As for letting him screw up FIRST? If I wanted to live in a socialist nanny state, I'd move to one. I have no intention of letting him and his politburo turn my country into one without a fight.

politburo? Oh seriously now, does people's sense of proportion go completely out of the window? Why do people exaggerate so dramatically all the time? Even intended satirically, it's not funny, because it's so wildly out of proportion. In fact, it's rather distasteful.

You do realize that when you overstate your case you lose credibility. This is more than just a tad hyperbolic.

ETA: especially when all one has to do is look about one's self to see the result of the other end of the spectrum. When there are no adults watching the kids and they get to make up the rules as they go along.... you get global economic collapse. Reasonable restrictions do not equal a Nanny State and the right has been letting the foxes guard the henhouse way too long.

I disagree with you as he served 8 years. Two terms. Not one. Nor did it get so far where he they actually tried to impeach him.

I can see by your signature regarding Obama and impeachment that stance. The man hasn't even taken over and this is what you feel. How is that any different from the questions regarding what happened in 2000? And how the lefties addressed it. It is no different from how the left views Bush. If I want to take the leftist approach Bush screwed up numerous times. What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander right?

Well, regardless of whether you agree with me or I agree with you I will take the same stance with Obama as I did with Bush. I am giving the man a chance. I didn't condemn Bush out of the starting gate for either term and I am not going to kneejerk on Obama. 'Nuf said.

That is what is most important and Obama will erode it, beginning with the First Amendment. Domestic enemy of the Constitution in Chief. I don't intend on waiting for my wealth (what little there is) to be redistributed, the children to be forced into "required" volunteer programs as outlined on his own transition page (that I have an original screen capture of before they changed the text to remove "required"), his new hate speech (you disagree with Obama and those who think like him so go to prison) legislation, make it illegal for individuals to own guns, establishment of Civil Security forces (Gestapo)....
So erosion of the 1st, 2nd, and 13th amendments, with his own thugs to enforce it. I don't think someone with THIS agenda deserves a chance.

So back to the original issue, communicating with the dead is part of my religion and he's just made fun of it. Also, I don't find any spokesperson from Mrs. Reagan saying that she has ACCEPTED any apology. People like to claim that they've apologised to ME for vile things they've said and done, it does'nt count unless the injured party accepts said apology. So when the Obamessiah apologizes to me for his mocking part of my religion-and getting a hearty laugh for it from his toadies-I may or may not accept it.

I the meantime I am getting all my lefty friends-which is,umm ALL of them-copies of "1984" for Yule/Christmas.

    etc.
Once again. You know the history of the Third Reich, surely. You really don't think that analogy is disproportionate, and distasteful?

    ***

in fact, considering further, either Obama is a remarkably flexible dictator, in that he seems to be both a communist and a Nazi at the same time, or these terms seem to be synonyms now, despite the considerable proportion of Mein Kampf that Adolf Hitler devoted to his hatred of Bolshevism.

    interesting.

Sounds like you just unscrewed the top of your head and let the McCain campaign just fill it up with ridiculous rhetoric. Do you even bother to think for yourself?

I think the comment was racist against dead people.
You will always do what you think, if you think you cannot change because that is always who you were - that is always who you will be. If you think you decide who you are despite what you have done in the past, and can decide who you are today you will. Do not chain yourself to the past or the future, but what you can decide in the present.
