Sticks, Stones, Roots & Bones - by Stephanie Rose Bird.

    Loving it!

"We are only asked to love, to offer hope to the many hopeless. We don't get to choose all the endings, but we are asked to play the rescuers. We won't solve all mysteries and our hearts will certainly break in such a vulnerable life, but it is the best way. We were made to be lovers bold in broken places, pouring ourselves out again and again until we're called home." ~

Now that looks interesting. I've got an older version by Lady someone or other.

    Hi LostSheep,

Lady Charlotte Guest's treatment was the first translation of the Mabinogion to English. I suspect that it might be hard going for the 21st Century reader being written as it is in the style of writing of it's publication time of 1838 to 1849.

Sioned Davies treatment of 2007 (ISBN 1-406-80509-2 ) does go some way to making the Mabinogion more digestible for today's readers but will offend the Purists as it Omits "Taliesin" whom for many typifies the Bardic tradition.

    Best Wishes Neville
