    I highly prefer purchasing the books. These people worked hard on their manga and they should get my money for me to read it. Besides, I have a major book fetish.

    Yes, books are nice. Japan's copyright laws are nice as well.

    I think many of the authors would feel delighted that there are people across the globe enjoying thier work. Plus, I'm sure I pay enough back with all the merchandise I have purchased over the years.

    I love manga, and I especially love Korean "manhwa." I find the art style moving. I have been reading The Bride of the Water God for ten years now, as it is translated, and Nocturne. I was smitten with the Japanese manga, Alichino. The manhwa I most recently finished is Savage Garden.

    I too use myanimelist.net. I have received valuable recommendations from that site. Just this weekend, I discovered translations of Chinese light novels on Wattpad. Most of what I read now has never been published in English, only translated online. I really miss having the physical volumes to read.
