    Hiking Boots

    I love my Merrells!

    Any other recommendations for great boots? What to avoid?

    Merrells = wonderful!

    Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast!

    I haven't used them extensively yet, but I've been very happy with my Danners so far: http://www.danner.com/product/boots/...+work+boots.do

    Typically "hiking" for me involves going to a dig site, digging, and hiking back from the dig site. Given the fact that I'm often standing two feet below the edge of the water table and wielding a pick-axe, I consider Gore-Tex and a steel toe absolutely essential.

    I like to hike in Teva sandles as well.

    I look for boots that do not rub, that breathe.. and thatsupport my ankel

    A pair of ladies pink Regatta hiking boots lasted me three years.

    I'm thinking of getting a pair of Merrells as well. I need to invest in a pair since I've been going hiking in my Chuck's this past year.
