    High School Running Back Penalized for Pointing upwards after TD

    Well, it finally happened: Penalties for excessive celebration have officially jumped the shark. If the NFL is the No Fun League, it's still a celebratory paradise compared to the Washington Interscholastic Athletic Association

    UGH! This disgusts me completely. I do not see why there is any problem with scoring players doing their thing after they score.

    This article is regarding the Georgia player who lost his tema 15 freaking yards for making his school letters? WTF?

    This is for every level of football from the tiny tots to the pros. I think it is completely ridiculus to penalize players for what is essentially nothing more than a "happy dance".

    I agree if they flip off or make other rude gestures then yes, penalize them, but for being happy?

    Football is going down the tubes folks. Anyone remember the days when you had a good 2 to 3 fights per game? Remember when they made the huge rule overhaul and established the new penalties right before the 79 Super Bowl, Pittsburgh vs Dallas. Staubach vs Bradshaw, god what a game, but I digress. Anyway, that was the start of the downfall of the NFL nitpicking every single solitary action and reaction.

    IT'S FOOTBALL!! You play hard, fight hard and do your damn happy dance when you cross that line!!!

    That's ridiculous. Air Force football athletes do it all the time. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it.

    The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
