I just heard that Robert Palmer has died of a heart attack, aged 54.

I can't believe this. I've always liked Robert Palmer.

Is it just me or are we losing an awful lot of people who are only in their 50s?

He sang for The Powerstation with my beloved John Taylor. One can not look back on the 80's and NOT think of Robert Palmer. His videos were classics. "Addicted to Love" "Simply Irristible". Great videos and the idea of having all the models dress and look the same was considered innovative at the time.

Always a class act. He will be missed. Thank the Gods for his music to remind us of him.

I was so sad when I saw the story this morning. I nearly started to cry at my desk.

Blessings to his family and friends.
