    Robert Jordan for fantasy, and David Weber for sci-fi. They're both awesome! (and kudos to whoever said Jordan at the beginning of the thread; we'll miss him!)

    I'm still mad at him for not finishing the Wheel of Time series.

    Well I can definitely add:

    My "boss" Washington Irving. Why do I call him "my boss" because I work at his house as a tour guide. LOL

    Mark Twain is my new crush as an author. LOL I'm weird I know, but I do like him.

    I also enjoy James Joyce and Charles Dickens. I didn't come to appreciate them as authors until I got older and started studying.

    • Sara Douglass (one of my favourites of all time - Will be missed!) - Wayfarer Redemption, Axis, The Troy Game, Darkglass Mountain
    • Diana Gabaldon - Outlander series (I LOVE Jamie Fraser)
    • George RR Martin - Song of fire & Ice (Winter is Coming!!! - do I need to say more)
    • Christopher Paolini - Inheritance Quartet (have't read book 4 - waiting with baited breath)
    • Jules Watson - The White Mare (thoroughly absorbing)
    • Stephenie Meyer - Twilight series (the inner monologues hit too close to the bone too often)
    • Richelle Mead - Vampire Academy (haven't read the final book yet but love Rose)
    • Charlaine Harris - Sookie Stackhouse Bks1-9 (Vampires and creatures of the night for grown-ups) - will read dead in the family soon
    • Philippa Gregory - The Other Boleyn Girl (made Henry VIII sexy like Jonathan Rhys Meyers)

    • John Marsden - The tomorrow series (One of the best Australian young adult series ever - so far, need to read books 6 + 7) - Ellie is such a wonderful character
    • Cassandra Clare - Mortal Instruments & Infernal Devices (need to read the latest in each - damn so many books so little time)
    • Claudia Gray - Evernight
    • Garth Nix - Old Kingdom Trilogy (Awesome Aussie Author)
    • Alexandra Adornetto - Halo (...just a teenager...jealous much)
    • Lauren Kate - Fallen
    • JK Rowling (WOW...need I say more)
    • Rick Riordan - Percy Jackson series (..what an adventure)
    • Kristin & PC Cast - House of night ( a fun and entertaining read)
    • Anne Rice - Vampire Chronicles and Mayfair Witches (New Orleans sounds soooo sexy)
    • Dan Brown ( a guilty pleasure, fact or fiction????)
    • JRR Tolkien - Lord of the rings ( the original and classic fantasy adventure)


    If you can't tell I love to read, always have a few on the go. I may think of some more but that will do for now (pretty much exhausted my favourites - another is just a great story away).
