Oh and "The Woman with the Alabaster Jar" and "The Goddess in the Gospels" are very good, though from a Christian point of view. Definitely makes you see the Magdalene as a goddess in the story of Jesus.

    old stones, new temples....

    what a great book...
And Drew is a really great person!!!

I'd suggest Triumph of the Moon, and Drawing down the moon with the caveat that one ignore the Asatru section, Crowley's Magick in Theory and Practice, The Kybalion by Three initiates, and, of course, All One Wicca...

Crowely's an odd duck. I dislike his trying to control other's lives on a personal level. His work's ok but I think it's an aquired taste.....

I know several people who've gotten a lot from his stuff but it leaves me cold personally.

For beginner books (I am still a beginner) I suggest any books by Scott Cunningham and The Craft by Dorthy Madison(i think thats her last name)
Also their was a book by Raymond Buckland called The Complete Book of Witchcraft that has some interesting exersices for beginners.....

    question???

How easy is it to find these books in Public Library's?

I'll be the first to admit libraries and me just intimidate one another, but I can't possibly go and buy everything that's on my list after reading this thread!

Kinda depends on your local library. The best thing to do is go have a look
