Wink Your Know You're From Minnesota If...

I just had to post this, sorry. It is too true. (Inspired to post this by the Canadian one)

    You've never met any celebrities.
    "Vacation" means going to Valleyfair.
You've seen all the biggest bands ten years after they were popular.
    You measure distance in minutes.
You know several people who have hit a deer.
Your school classes were canceled because of cold.
Your school classes were canceled because of heat.
You've ever had to switch from "heat" to "A/C" in the same day.
You think ethanol makes your truck "run a lot better."
You know what's knee-high by the Fourth of July.
Stores don't have bags; they have sacks.
You see a car running in the parking lot at the store with no one in it no matter what time of the year.
You end your sentences with an unnecessary preposition. Example: "Where's my coat at?" or "If you go to town I wanna go with."
You carry jumper cables in your car.
You know what "cow tipping" and "snipe hunting" is.
You design your kid's Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit.
The local paper covers national and international headlines on one page but requires 6 pages for sports.
You think that deer season is a national holiday.
You know which leaves make good toilet paper.
You find -20 degrees F "a little chilly".
You know all 4 seasons: Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter, and Construction.
You know if another Minnesotan is from southern, middle or northern Minnesota as soon as they open their mouth.

I can think of one to add!

You are not surprised when your car door jam freezes and it won't latch again.

I am not from Minnesota but spent many weeks there this winter for work! In fact, I even got to meet Angelus_Errare! Let me tell you...it IS as cold as they say too..

    This sounds EXACTLY like Michigan.

You know you're from Michigan if you know what the hell Kalamazoo is.

-If you see people walking around in shorts when water starts to freeze.

-If the town where you graduated at has a sign listing it as the "Turkey Capital". Yes, my town has that.

:D Yeah, that or you get FROZEN in to your house because the door totally froze to the door frame. I couldn't get out that day, I missed school and everything! :D And yep, I met Tabby too. Bad timing to have to come in the middle of December Tabby.

Yes, and People wear shorts and a sweatshirt at the same time! That is weird even for me living in MN for these years.

You know you are in NORTHERN Michigan when the towns are smaller than the stretches of trees in between (Don't blink folks, you will miss them).

*laughs* As I'm sure you can guess.. I've been there too! *wink*

Minnesota doesn't really have much but: Restaurants, Car dealerships, and churches. oh and more Restaraunts and more car dealerships, and a few more Churches, and don't forget the meat raffle every month or the fish fry at the local church. (At least the small towns.)
