This Man

This has left me boggled, boggled I say!
I'm really curious about your thoughts on this; what could this mean? Might it be a hoax, coincidence (which I personally don't believe in), indeed the image of our subconscious, or might someone be really visiting people in their dreams?

Quote:
In January 2006 in New York, the patient of a well-known psychiatrist draws the face of a man that has been repeatedly appearing in her dreams. In more than one occasion that man has given her advice on her private life. The woman swears she has never met the man in her life.

That portrait lies forgotten on the psychiatrist's desk for a few days until one day another patient recognizes that face and says that the man has often visited him in his dreams. He also claims he has never seen that man in his waking life.

The psychiatrist decides to send the portrait to some of his colleagues that have patients with recurrent dreams. Within a few months, four patients recognize the man as a frequent presence in their own dreams. All the patients refer to him as THIS MAN.

This is a dream invader,an image that appealls to the subconcious mind I only gazed upon him for a few moments and I felt fear I realized the potential it has to influence the sub mind,I closed the page because it impressed me.Tell me more here please I don't want to look at that picture again.

Oh right, you actually have a good point there! I know what you mean, that face, that guy it's like.. he freaks me out in a weird way >_<

Alright, but as I quoted in the main post, someone was told by their
psychiatrist to draw this guy that appeared in her dreams. Eventually, it seemed that a lot - like, a LOT - other people, over the entire world, are dreaming about the same man. There are portraits of this man on that site too, each from a different person in a different place, and they're all quite similar.
They're still trying to find out, through research and philosophy mostly, what this could mean and who this guy is, if it's a real person at all.
In some dreams he's a good guy, helping out and giving advice and even though his appearance is not appealing, he seems to be a loving man. In other dreams, though, he's.. not so good and more like scary.
There's not much else to say besides this, because it's mainly a fresh phenomenon. I had the impression I would start dreaming about him just by looking at that picture, but I didn't. Still, his face haunts me in my imagination, it's just.. so weird >_<

It's a pretty generic face to me. Reminds me of an actor but can't pinpoint which.

Never saw it in a dream, then again most of my dreams are either faceless (either literally have no face or I just never see it) or avatars of people (like in a game).
