I think there are plenty of safety precautions such as face mask and gloves to help keep you from the protists that might cause harm. I have a hard time conceiving this being overly dangerous seeing as how I did the pond scum protozoa cultivation in science lab before in the 5th grade and beyond. It was one of my favorite experiments. It's pretty interesting idea you have. I personally use the presence and placement of hawks as a form of mancy because I'm tied to them personally as a guiding entity. I'm sure you could tap into the protists for the same.


I think if I were cytomancing I would first meditate on existence and it's components and how even if at the core the blood cell has no idea that it is part of a larger system it still supports a greater thing. Just some food for thought.

I really like this idea. I have a biologist friend who would really get a kick out of this. Mind if I share? Of course you'll get full credit!

JFI, I never meant to impose the idea thats this is overly dangerous. As I said, rare.

Just that, if your going to play in another world and the microscopic world is another world in its own right, that you should be aware that even the smallest of life can mess with you if it doesnt want to play.
Nature does sometimes bite back, even the smallest parts of it.
