Recurring Theme

OK, so my subconscious seems to be stuck on something, and I'm not entirely sure why.

For the last six months or so, I've been dreaming about graduating high school, or preparing for graduation mere days before. It's always the same people in it, but the school is rarely the same (none of them have actually been the one I attended), and for some reason, I'm always in love with or dating someone I was never with IRL (usually one of two friends, but there have been a few with others). In most, it's in the last days prior to the big day, and I'm doing last-minute classes or something. Heck, sometimes, what's going on is so fantastical... like, night before last, there was time and world travel going on (being told to follow a S.O. into another time/dimension and report back). None of the dreams have been exactly the same, though there have been a couple that occurred in a location I'd previously dreamed of.

Now, thing is, I graduated almost five years ago, and the vast majority of these people I don't see or talk to. Most of the ones I'm with, I was never interested in IRL. And apparently my mind can't get creative and even make up random people for dream-me to interact with, because it's always the same folks!

I honestly do not know what's got me dreaming of this for as long as I have; I don't miss HS, for pete's sake, and I don't miss most of those people XD What gives?

I heard that when you dream about people, it is a way that you subconsciousness shows flows that you need to concentrate on ... maybe it would help if you can pickup more details about people you saw.
Was graduating an achievment for you ? or was it the same 'who cares' attitude ?

sorry it took so long to respond - I've been out of town =)

I don't know what details to look for, really, but they're almost always people I've known for many years, folks I've known since kindergarten (small community schools). Graduation was a toss-up; it was an achievement in that I was the only one in my immediate family to do it, but it was still kind of a 'meh' moment, if that makes any sense.
