Lucky Mojo?
I've heard a lot of references to luckymojo.com products - they are even listed as a resource in "Sticks, Stones, Roots and Bones".
What is anyone's experience with their stuff? Do you think that it's more important to make items yourself with the individual oils and ingredients, or is using a "pre-made" item, from a source like lucky mojo acceptable? I would hate to have a weakened result because I didn't put the energy into making something myself. |

People use those things all the time, hence why businesses cropped up making those items for sale. So long as you are doing everything else accordingly, you should have no problem obtaining your results. I'd much rather purchase black salt, for instance, from a botanica than trying to make it myself. I don't have the time for that.

If you make your own tools then that would give them more meaning to you personally but sometimes buying one is more practical..
If you do decide to purchase a pre made tool try to buy only hand crafted where possible.. also you would want to cleanse, charge, program them with your intent etc. |

Lots of folks will tell you this: it's better if you make it yourself, sure, but it's fine (and a lot more practical for some) to buy it from a place you feel is trustworthy.
I've never gotten poor results from using Lucky Mojo's stuff.

When I have to buy instead of make, I buy from Lucky Mojo.
Their free folklore info is well worth the time spent at their site. When you have to buy, Lucky Mojo does put together great blends.

I have a few luckymojo oils and they work fine for me. I do recommend them. Their stuff is high quality and it's obvious when you get them.

Great! Thank you guys for the feedback. I kind of assumed the same - making it yourself is always better, but it's good to know that they provide a quality product in lieu of being able to make it myself.
Thanks again!

I'd not say that making it yourself is *always* better -- if you don't know what you're doing or use bad recipes, for example, you might well be better off buying premade items from someone else.
Lucky Mojo's products are pretty good, I recommend them among other places. They try to use natural oils where possible and usually include some of the herbs in the bottle so there's some 'natural' form of it even where the fragrance is synthetic. The owner knows a lot about herbs and their magical uses and even wrote a book on that. |
