Feelin' Heathen...
Lately, since my move to the snow-covered forests of north-central Pennsylvania...I've been feeling a lot more pull towards the Germanic deities of my ancestors. (*)
I used to teach Norse mythology to kids, and am quite knowledgeable about it, but I've never felt very "close" to it. Strangely, now...I feel like I "get" it. I dunno. I'm not quite ready to start donning a Mjollnir and call myself a Heathen, but I just felt like sharing. We'll see. __________________________________________________________________ (*) ...which is the exact opposite of how I felt in the much more "Mediterranean" climate of St. Augustine, Florida.
