Blessing water during moon phases/blue moon

I want to charge/bless some water on the night of the blue moon. Where I live, that's on December 31.

Have any of you done this before (during any moon phase)? If so, I'd love if you would share your stories of what your ritual consisted of.

Our tradition has something called The Waters of the World. At major gatherings, people bring water they've collected from bodies of water that are dear to them, and we pour them all in one cauldron to mingle, reminding us of the interconnectedness of all waters through the water cycle.

I have some Waters of the World that I brought home from my first Witch Camp. I have used full moon energy to fill it with healing energy for the water, and new moon energy to drive out pollutants and misuse. I just put the jar on a shelf under the skylights in my bedroom and let the moonlight or moondark fill it overnight.

When we collect WotW, we say, "Until all Her waters are safe to drink, until all Her waters run clear." I've never "done" anything with my WotW; that's not what we use it for, but we believe that this work can be an important step toward the healing of all the world's waters. I would imagine Moon-blessed water could be very effective in healing or cleansing spells.
