Help with a weird dream

I had a weird dream which I'm having a hard time figuring out it's meaning other then some kind of warning about harm done to my being. If anyone can help me with it's symbolism, it will be greatly appreciated. Here goes.

In this dream I find myself laying on the ground, right up against this tall brick building. Laying next to me is my ex. (Who I broke up with a couple of months back.) I look at her and she is looking back at me with this silly smile on her face. I find I can't move at all, I'm paralyzed, frozen to the spot and apparently so is she. I'm looking around and I notice the ground is a very green grass, and the bricks of the building I am up against are a deep brick orange. (I feel the colors have a meaning somehow, because they are so rich and deep.) Anyway, I look up towards the top of this building and at one window I see a construction worker on a scaffold with a crowbar prying apart a big chunk of bricks in a window directly above where I am. I start to panic, I know this huge chunk of debris will fall directly on us and kill us. I tried to scream for help but nothing comes out. I tried to move, I can't. I look over at my ex and she is just laying there still looking at me with the same silly smile. She either wont or can't move, I really can't tell. I'm frantic, in a total complete panic. I look up and see this big chunk of bricks come loose and start to come straight at us. All I can think is, I'm going to die. The bricks hit me on my right side, the side which was up against the building. My entire right side from the shoulder down is crushed, I am bleeding all over. I feel like I'm slipping away. I look over at my ex to see if she's hurt. She's OK, she's still lying there, still looking at me with the same smile. And all I can think off is, why didn't you move. At this point I wake up.

I'm usually good at figuring out what dreams are trying to tell me, but this one is a bit more complex. Way too much symbolism. Once again any help will be greatly appreciated.

Wowza, what a dream indeed! Well, at first glance here are some of the highlights that I'm pulling from this.

Green/Red & Orange:
Green is a very flexible color. It represents both masculine and feminine energies in balance, which also occurs in your dream by yourself and your ex. I'm assuming that the grass was a living, normal shade of green, then it represents your health, independence and feeling of worth.

Orange is a hopeful and friendly color. It may be representing how you feel about yourself and your relationships. Since a piece of this "feeling", in the form of the bricks, is falling and hurting you, it seems to be indicative towards pain from the ended relationship and you feel that you came out more worse for wear than she did.

This idea also is translated again in the Red of the blood. Red is the opposite of green. It represents a stain on your health and happiness. Red says "Stop," and "Danger", red is energy, shame, passion, and anger.

For the damage to have been dealt only to your right side shows signs of an attack towards your ability to act and perform physically, since the majority of the population is right-hand dominate, losing the ability to use that side leaves you weak and trapped with only your emotionally oriented left side.

I feel that this covers most of your dream. Adding into the equation the sense of being paralyzed might be pointing to unexpressed emotions or feelings. Perhaps things you need to get off your chest by yourself or actually saying them to the person they affect, be it your ex.

I hope this helps and that I am not misleading, this is only my take on the matter.

On a side note, do any of the previously mentioned colors-- Green, Orange, and Red, mean anything to you?

Thanks Chicory Witch. I've been thinking abut this dream most of the day. I even looked up some of it's symbolism on-line. I too have come to some of the same conclusions on this dream. I think the bricks falling on my right side is a message to my conscious self being damaged. I like to bottle up stuff and act like nothing hurts me or phases me, the reality might be I'm full of crap and this breakup has done more damage then I care to admit consciously. Thanks for the help with the colors, I felt as if those had to do with the message as they were really vibrant. As far as dreams go this was a whopper. Once again thanks for the help.
