So you say, but I'm not seeing your reasoning. My focus is balanced, as it pushes back against the force of the antagonist. There is no need for me to focus on his positive side, because it's not something that pushing against me. If anything, focusing on anything other then the negative behaviour to be addressed would make the effort diffuse and thus render it less effective.

1) given that I explained the difference between Spells and Prayer, as well as why channelling doesn't negate something being a spell, why do you say it's not either?

2) why do you think I need to throw energy at making sure the recipient gets warm fuzzies for there to be balance?

Why need spells? If your neighbour is spying on your husband and making threats you should contact the authorities such as the police. Find out who is in charge of him like a social worker if he's an old old man. Does he own the house? If not you can mention his behaviour to his landlord.

If he's old and lonely, I do think acting nice to him is a good idea. Perhaps light a candle and ask the gods(Whoever you're closest to, IMO) to change his mind or to help him in his struggles, as he's likely in some sort of emotional trouble. I also second inviting him over for dinner. If he's still a jerk, his emotions will be more polite because you've been nice to him. My former neighbors were horribly mean to my mum, and were total jerks to us, till I offered to babysit the little daughter of them. Turns out, she's a huge brat and is 2-3ish(so totally normal), and that was what was stressing them and making them cranky when my mum would ask them politely to not smoke on their deck when we had guests over(small yard distance, we could smell it indoors). An older person might have economic problems or some other emotional issue. Now, if he continues acting mean, despite several attempts to be nice, or he continues stalking you and your husband, even after you act nice and friendly, then call the cops.
