Finding a Crystal Ball
So i've always been interested in the practice of Crystal Ball scrying. And now I feel a certain calling to it. I feel like i'll do an excellent job at crystal scrying since I've been practicing tarot for 5 years now. I feel fit for it and tuned.
Does anyone know where I can find good bargains for buying crystal balls online? And what's the difference from different stones like Amethyst and Clear Quarts while scrying? I didn't know until now that other stones can be used for scrying into a ball. I've used the search filter, but didn't seem to find where I can actually buy a stone ball. The practice of scrying I know pretty well though. I just haven't done it yet on anything and i'm more attracted to crystal balls than mirrors and other mediums.

lol go with one that you are drawn to...like cards.... I tend to find crystals call out to me so I hear a loud ringing sound which is the crystal itself. Amethyst...........is good for connecting with guides amongst other things.. I'm gonna try and scry more with my amethyst crystal ball............after wishing moon tomorrow..............clear quartz is good too, think mine are cleansing at moment.
Recommend TEd Andrews book for crystal balls...... ebay and amazon are good sites .........especially ebay and shamanscrystals

I'm drawn to obsidian too, for the same reasons. I usually use a black mirror yet, because I can't budget a crystal at this time.
Here is one place to get them online: http://www.13moons.com/index.php?mai...sidian+spheres Another alternative if you wish to scy and can't afford a crystal right away is to make a black mirror. Get a picture frame with glass from the dollar store. Spray paint the back of the glass, give it about 3 coats, and put it back in the frame when it is completely dry. You will be gazing at the unpainted side, to the painted surface behind it. Total cost is under $5, and it works great.

You might want to look on ebay for "glass ball" as well as "crystal ball". Ones made of glass rather than carved from stone can be less expensive.
As everyone else has said though go with your gut feeling.

also spheres .... sometimes they come under spheres too. But I will make a post up about types of crystals although it says in ted andrew's book about them so it will be an excerpt in that, things have been a bit difficult at this end of the line so I haven't gotten round to doing that yet. Yes I was also drawn to obididan but lost the link to the place where the ball was at!

I found mine in a thrift shop. It's about 3-4 inches and was made to be a glass paperweight... cost me a whole $12. It hasn't failed me yet.

I bought a small sphere made of Honey Citrine (?)... I think.
I got it for 3 dollars. But it was really small, like an inch and a half wide. |

Look for "reconstituted quartz" (aka glass made from crushed quartz) rather than real crystal. The price difference is astounding, and the quality is far better in the "synthetic" product.
There will be no difference in the way it reads, either. I know Azure Green sells them in various sizes for a good price. |
