it could be breciated or red jasper. or better yet a red jasper in hematite. but do not quote me on this.

The black parts are not shiny enough to be hematite, since it's polished. And cool, I have a interesting stone! I do think it's at least SOME sort of jasper.

my head is out of it today. so you have to excuse me.
anyway there are hundreds of stones out there. if you keep asking here or somewhere else you'll eventually it should come out on what type of stone this is. it could take minutes,days ,months or even years.

check the black parts again to see if they are a very dark green.
it's a good chance this stone is red ocean jasper.
